Hi my name is Rose and I’m the lead wedding planner and florist for Simply Rose Weddings! I’ve helped couples all over the United States plan their dreamy wedding and today I’m here to share my top 10 reasons why you need to hire a Wedding Planner. You may think it’s a luxury, but it genuinely is a necessity!

1. We can provide the expertise you need to plan an event that large

Think about it: when was the last time you planned a whole party for over 100 people? Chances are, probably never. There’s multi-tasking and major organization that’s involved. As your wedding planner, we can be your best friend when it comes to planning your dream wedding. We know the ins and out of what it takes to have a smooth and successful wedding day. I’ve had many brides ask me what colors and styles work best with each other. So after months and some of you even years of planning your wedding day, the last thing you want happening while you’re drinking mimosas with the girls, is your caterer coming up to you and asking questions about where the outlets are in the kitchen when they arrive or your DJ asking where the best place to set up for cocktail hour. No no no.. A wedding planner coordinates all of those little details BEFORE your wedding day. We’ve been to your final walk through, we’ve thought about where all the vendors will go, and so much more!

We not only assist with finding your perfect vendors but organizing a seamless timeline for your wedding day! When brides book with us, a question I get pretty early on in the planning process is: “So when can we start on the timeline.” Patience my dear, we have a system!

Goodness, there are so many examples I could give here. A wedding planner will assist you in creating YOUR wedding, not a copy paste of your 3 cousin’s wedding that everyone has seen… I mean been there, done that, next. And face it, you only want to get married once so why not make it unique? Why not make it more about you and your fiance, incorporating things that make the two of you special?

Your wedding planner should have excellent listening skills to help craft those unique details your guests never thought about! And honestly, the details you want them talking about after the wedding – at least that goal, right?

Okay, I know this is not a fun one to think about but it happens. We’re all human and there’s always something that arises. A wedding planner will help you sift through any issues or problems that may arise.

A real life example I could share is: I was coordinating for a 210 person wedding and 225 guests showed up. We did everything right – calling, double checking but for some reason, several guests thought it would be okay to say “no, i’m not coming” and then show up the day of without notice. This is a BIG NO-NO. But we were able to pivot and execute a beautiful reception with every guest having a seat.

So again, having a ‘great’ wedding planner is crucial to your wedding!

9. They will coordinate your Wedding Rehearsal

A wedding rehearsal may seem like a no brainer, but who is going to let your grandmother know when it’s time to walk down the aisle? Who is going to let the musicians know when to que your song to walk down the aisle to?

I hope your answer isn’t you or even your mother because trust me, she will want to soak in every minute of your special day! The last thing you want is to panic about spacing or who has the rings on the day of the wedding.

A wedding planner will coordinate the rehearsal, answer ALL the questions that your family and bridal party have and even your officiant will throw in a question or two. Remember, your wedding planner is your point person. They usually have a team with them and although they will not be there at rehearsal, everyone will be informed of what will be happening on the day of the wedding.
